"The MAC" as it is affectionately known is the perfect setting for your event, whether it's a wedding, family reunion, anniversary celebration or business meeting. The MAC has played host to weddings, photography sittings, car and trade shows, craft fairs, reunions and more.
The MAC is an outdoor venue featuring wide-open and well-maintained lawns and fields amidst the oaks of the Cosumnes River Preserve that borders the ranch on three sides with vast vineyards bordering the other. The large rental site is immediately adjacent to the restored historic 1880’s ranch house that provides the perfect backdrop for your event. Both young and mature trees cast shade on sunny days and help to develop a beautiful, manicured background to compliment your event.
The historic McFarland Ranch House, originally ordered from a Sears and Robuck catalogue in the 1880's, has been returned to its original turn-of-the-last-century charm. Huge porches in front and back easily serve as a stage with handicap accessibility. The front lawn of the main house is well shaded and has hosted many dinners, luncheons and ceremonies over the years. The Ranch House and its immediate surroundings serve as a canvas against which your event can be further planned and decorated to give you that special, once in a lifetime event.
The MAC provides separate ready rooms for the wedding party, a ready room with refrigeration for a caterer, restroom facilities, and plenty of area to accommodate events of 300 or more. Our clients are completely free to use the vendors of their choice for the various aspects of their event. Our clients find this a very effective way to tailor both the cost and character of the desired elements of their wedding or event.
McFarland Ranch has been restored and is maintained by the Galt Area Historical Society and in addition to being an outstanding and picturesque outdoor venue the facility offers historic features that create once-in-a-lifetime photos of your event. The MAC offers a gazebo that can be rented and located according to preference. Period buildings and windmills and many other features will add ambiance to your special day.
