McFarland Living History Ranch is a property of historic significance in south Sacramento County dating back to the ranch's founding in 1870 by businessman John McFarland.

Today, McFarland Ranch is preserved and curated in its original 1800's splendor by the Galt Area Historical Society. The Ranch provides spectacular views of breathtaking beauty that serve as a dramatic backdrop for any event including weddings, corporate events, receptions, festivals and other large gatherings. The Ranch is capable of hosting both large and intimate events with infinite possibilities for event layout.

The venue consists of 40 acres located adjacent to the gorgeous Cosumnes River Preserve to the west and open space and agricultural lands to the north, south and east. The location of McFarland Ranch provides for a uniquely private setting within easy travel distance from Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto and urban locations in the Bay Area.
South Orchard

The mansion's back porch and yard creates memorable wedding photos or is a suitable location for after ceremony cocktails while guests mingle prior to dinner and the remaining festivities. White picket fencing defines the space along with a tree planted in 1881.
